Ronald Flory, 77, of Riverton, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at his home. Cremation has taken place.

BROOKS

Raymond "Ray" Brooks, 87, of Fort Washakie, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at his home. No services are planned at this time.

JOHNSON

Kenneth Johnson, 91, of Riverton, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at his home. No services are planned at this time.

A community meal is 1-5 p.m. at St. John Lutheran church, 606 N. Eighth St. in Riverton, including turkey and dressing. Attendees should bring a side dish to share.

Thursday, December 5

The Festival of Trees family night is at 6 p.m. in the Fremont Center at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Riverton. Attendees will preview "Land of Oz" decorated trees while enjoying refreshments, crafts for children, and a visit from Santa.

Santa for Soldiers is at 5 p.m. at the Soldiers House, 1201 E. Jackson Ave. in Riverton. Santa will be available for photos.

The Northern Arapaho Tribe will dedicate the new Red Wolf Child Care Center, 192 Red Wolf Place, during a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. The new facility will provide affordable, quality, 24-hour care for more than 250 children up to 10 years old.

In Riverton Police Department weekend reports through Tuesday morning:

A runaway was reported at about 8:15 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Valley Circle.

Three credit cards were reported stolen at about 8:25 a.m. Friday from a silver 2019 Ram in the 1300 block of West Park Avenue. The reporting party said the cards and "other items" were taken from the vehicle "sometime during the night."

About $50 in candles was reported stolen at about 9:30 a.m. Friday from a vehicle in the 500 block of South Broadway. The initial report indicates they were "fundraiser" candles. The reporting party also said bullets were taken from the black 2005 Yukon.

Fraud was reported at about 9:45 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Ninth Street East. The initial report was regarding a "fraudulent check" that "was cashed through the store."

James Sandt, 48, of Riverton, was arrested at about 1:10 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of North Eighth Street West for property destruction and breach of peace. The initial report was regarding an "upset" person who "broke glass in the building."

Kyle Bird, 25, of Riverton, was arrested at about 1:40 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Apache Avenue on a Fremont County warrant.

Kenneth Shakespeare, 33, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 1:45 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Major Avenue for public intoxication. The initial report was regarding a male subject "lying on the side of the road intoxicated."

Suspicious circumstances were reported at about 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of East Fremont Avenue. The reporting party "suspected someone has been in the back yard," though there was no property damage. Officials said there were "footprints in snow."

Joshua Hebert, 24, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Adams Avenue for probation revocation.

Curtis Coburn, 34, of Riverton, was arrested at about 5 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Adams Avenue on a Fremont County warrant.

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 6:45 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard.

Animal abuse was reported at about 2 a.m. Saturday in Riverton. Officials said dogs were taken into custody, and an animal neglect citation was prepared for the owner.

A traffic hazard was reported at about 4:40 a.m. Saturday in the 10800 block of Wyoming Highway 789. The initial report was regarding a "dead deer in the roadway." Officials said the deer was removed from the highway.

Property destruction was reported at about 2:10 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Broadway. The initial report was regarding a "damaged ATM."

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 3:05 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of North Broadway. The initial report indicates the incident involved a red Kia Optima and a blue Dodge Dakota, with partial road blockage.

A hit and run incident was reported at about 3:35 p.m. Saturday in an alley in the 400 block of North First Street. The initial report indicates a black Dodge Ram sustained "passenger side damage."

A 16-year-old Riverton girl was arrested at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Pinnacle Drive for resisting and minor under the influence of alcohol. Another 16-year-old Riverton girl was cited for minor under the influence of alcohol. The initial report was regarding a "party."

Mychal Goggles, 26, of St. Stephen's, was arrested at about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North 12th Street East for public intoxication. The initial report was regarding an intoxicated male subject "passed out in the laundry area."

Kathleen Vargas, 23, of Riverton, was arrested at about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Garnet Drive for possession of a controlled substance and pedestrian under the influence. The initial report was regarding an intoxicated female subject outside of a residence "pounding on the door wanting to get in."

Wynonna Ghostbear, 21, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of North Broadway for public intoxication. The reporting party said "a woman is attempting to fight a bartender."

Vandalism was reported at about 11:25 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Eastview Drive. The reporting party said a white 2000 Chevy pickup "got egged within the last three days."

Kenneth Shakespeare, 33, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard for shoplifting. The initial report was regarding an intoxicated subject who was "harassing associates."

Police assisted the Fremont County Sheriff's Office in responding at about 4:45 p.m. Sunday to a report that a vehicle had been "side swiped" on Freedom Drive.

Mykyla Lott, 19, of Riverton, was arrested at about 5:35 p.m. Sunday on Blackfoot Avenue for interference.

A hit and run incident was reported at about 12:55 p.m. Monday on Morefield. The reporting party said "an older model green Ford Explorer just ran into a fence;" the vehicle "backed up, picked up his front bumper then drove to another area."

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 5 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard. The initial report indicates the incident involved a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 and a Chevy Suburban, with "no obstruction of the roadway."

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 5:20 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Monroe Avenue. The initial report indicates the incident involved a car and a residential fence.

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of South Broadway. The initial report indicates the incident involved a Bureau of Indian Affairs agent and a white GMC pickup.

Property damage to a fence was reported at about 6:20 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of North First Street.

Property destruction was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Peak Drive. The reporting party said her "grandson destroyed property insider he home."

A hit and run incident was reported at about 11:25 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard. The initial report indicates a "vehicle took out a power pole" in a parking lot.

Emery Tindall, 35, of Riverton, was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of East Main Street for domestic battery, pedestrian under the influence and trespassing.
