Emergency calls

Information in this column is taken from official law enforcement reports. An arrest is a preliminary step in the legal process. It does not mean that a person has been found guilty of a crime. By law, persons who are arrested are innocent until proven guilty through due legal processes.

In Riverton Police Department weekend reports through Tuesday morning:

Deidrea Grady, 18, of Michigan, and Malik Alfred, 20, of Michigan, both were arrested at about 10:15 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of North Federal Boulevard for possession of stolen property. Alfred also was arrested for larceny. The initial call was regarding forgery. The reporting party wanted to "report check fraud" and said subjects "who are selling cleaning supplies forged checks."

Recycling bins were reported stolen at about noon Friday in the 200 block of North Seventh Street West.

Vandalism was reported at about 12:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Birch Avenue. The initial report indicates the incident involved a brown 1987 Dodge truck with a broken window.

A hit and run incident was reported at about 12:45 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Spire Drive. The initial report indicates a tan four-door passenger car hit a Nissan Pathfinder.

Eugene Ridgley, 58, of Ethete, was arrested at about 9:45 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Federal Boulevard for public intoxication. The initial report was regarding an intoxicated male subject "bothering customers" inside of a store.

A wallet was reported stolen at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North Second Street East. The initial report indicates the wallet was taken from a vehicle "during the night."

Wilhelmina Spoonhunter, 29, was arrested at about 12:40 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of College View Drive for possession of a controlled substance. The initial report was regarding "three female shoplifters" who "appear to be under the influence of meth."

An electrical hazard was reported at about 2:05 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Mesquite Circle. The initial report indicates lightning struck, and a "power pole and lines are down in (a) backyard."

A laptop, makeup and other miscellaneous items valued at more than $700 were reported stolen at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday from a vehicle in the 100 block of East Jackson Avenue. The reporting party said the items were taken "sometime last night."

Sarah Evans, 37, of Riverton, was arrested at about 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard on a Fremont County warrant. The initial report was regarding an intoxicated female "by produce ... driving a motorized scooter." The reporting party said the subject "has pulled her pants down" and was "cussing at customers."

Joshua Hanway, 36, of St. Stephen's, was arrested at about 1:25 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Fifth Street East on a Fremont County warrant. The initial report was regarding a "disturbance next door" where there was "lots of traffic." The reporting party mentioned "possible drug dealing" and "arguing."

Amanda Bushyhead, 21, of Riverton, was arrested at about 4:40 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of West Fremont Avenue for public intoxication. The reporting party said "someone keeps ringing her doorbell."

A red 2015 Kia Sedona was reported stolen at about 7:45 a.m. Sunday from in front of a residence in the 100 block of West Jackson Avenue. The reporting party said the vehicle was there "last night," and "she has all the keys for the vehicle."

Annie Willow, 36, of Arapahoe; Edwin Armour, 41, of Riverton; and Fallon Addison, 36, of Arapahoe, all were arrested at about 8:25 a.m. Sunday in an alley in the 300 block of West Washington Avenue for public intoxication. The initial report was regarding a "female in the alley" who was "lying on the ground and can't get up." The report indicates the reporting party "sounds to be intoxicated and can't answer any other questions."

Julian Spoonhunter, 30, of Lander, and James Goodman, 26, of Riverton, both were arrested at about 12:25 p.m. Sunday int eh 500 block of North Ninth Street East on Fremont County warrants.

Title paperwork was reported stolen at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East Jefferson Avenue. The reporting party said the title was "stolen from his vehicle last night."

A dark blue Dodge Journey was reported stolen at about 12:55 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Jackson Avenue. The reporting party said "yesterday her vehicle was broken into" and "today her vehicle was stolen."

A wallet was reported stolen at about 6:50 p.m. Sunday from a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Jackson Avenue. The reporting party thought the theft may have occurred "sometime between last night and this afternoon."

Items were reported stolen at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday from a vehicle in the 400 block of North Second Street East. The reporting party said the theft occurred sometime after 5 p.m. Friday.

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Broadway. The initial report indicates the reporting party "backed into another car," and the incident involved a Ford Explorer and a white Nissan Maxima.

Wendell Ghostbear, 20, of Riverton, was arrested at about 12:05 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of South Federal Boulevard for minor in possession of alcohol. The initial report was regarding a male subject "standing on the top railing of the bridge."

A package was reported stolen or misplaced at about 8 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of East Main Street. The reporting party said the package had been delivered to her Post Office box.

Trespassing was reported at about 9:50 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of North Broadway. The reporting party was requesting a no-trespass order.

No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 10:20 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of North Federal Boulevard. The initial report indicates the incident involved three vehicles, with road blockage.

Keys and shoes were reported stolen at about noon Monday from a vehicle in the 400 block of North Second Street East. The reporting party said the items were taken "sometime this weekend."

Two students were cited at about 12:40 p.m. Monday at Riverton High School, 2001 W. Sunset Drive, for disturbing the peace. The initial report was regarding a fight.

Coleman Stanger, 26, of Pavillion, was arrested at about 3:25 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Main Street for possession of a controlled substance. The initial report was regarding a male subject sleeping in a Ford Taurus.

Eldon Antelope, 54, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:30 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Seventh Street East for public intoxication. The initial report was regarding an intoxicated male subject "lying on the sidewalk."

A juvenile problem was reported at about 3:45 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of North First Street. The initial report indicates a 13-year-old boy left Riverton Middle School. Officials said they were able to locate the subject.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious person at about 6 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of West Park Avenue. The initial report was regarding a male subject sitting in a fenced-off area. Officials said the subject was moved along.

Threatening was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Monday on Sunnyside Avenue. The reporting party said a male subject "threatened him."

Theft was reported at about 11:15 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of East Main Street. The initial report indicates a residence was "broken into" sometime between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The reporting party said "nothing appears to have been taken."

A runaway was reported at about 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block fo North First Street. The initial report indicates a 12-year-old girl left a residence at 2 a.m. and "ha snot returned."

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office weekend reports through early Tuesday:

Deputies responded at about 9:45 a.m. Friday to a report of cattle on the road in the 1700 block of North Smith Road near Riverton. The initial report was regarding a black cow by the road.

Deputies responded at about 10:15 a.m. Friday to a report of cattle on the road in the 2600 block of Cooper Road. The initial report was regarding a light brown cow "out on the road."

Derrin Albrandt, 43, of Pavillion, was arrested at about 10 p.m. Friday on Williams Road near Pavillion for driving while under the influence.

A hit and run incident was reported at about 11:55 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of elder Lane near Riverton. The initial report was regarding a vehicle that was "speeding around the area" and "backed into a fence." The reporting party also said a "male subject is whistling and causing a disturbance." Officials were unable to locate the driver.

Brian Seamons, 47, of Riverton, was arrested at about 12:55 a.m. Saturday in the 12500 block of U.S. Highway 26 near Riverton for domestic battery. The reporting party said her boyfriend stole keys, hit her and choked her.

Deputies responded at about 8:05 a.m. Saturday to a report of cattle on the road on Chittim Road near Lander. The initial report was regarding two black cows "out by the road ... close to Lucky Pond."

A traffic offense was reported at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday on South Indiana Avenue in Hudson. The reporting party said a blue "quad" was "racing up and down Indiana Avenue all morning" at a "high rate of speed." Officials said the "rider was contacted and warned."

A traffic hazard was reported at about 4:50 p.m. Saturday on Kinnear Spur near Kinnear. The initial report was regarding "15-20 sheep on the road."

An animal problem was reported at about 6:05 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Cowboy Lane near Riverton. The initial report was regarding a black and white cow in the reporting party's yard; the reporting party was "unsure who it belongs to." A second caller later said "the bull is now out on the road."

Terrence Brown, 27, of Riverton, was arrested at about 8:10 a.m. Sunday at the Fremont County Sheriff's Office in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton for bond violation.

An injured animal was reported at about 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the 8200 block of Wyoming Highway 789 near Lander. The initial report indicates a "deer was hit" and was "still alive on the side of the road."

Deputies responded at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday to a report of cattle on the road in the 400 block of Gabes Road near Pavillion. The initial report was regarding a "herd of cows."

A 36-year-old male was cited after police responded at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday to a report of a weapon offense on Wilson Road near Riverton. The reporting party said a "neighbor shot and killed their dog."

Deputies responded at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday to a report of cattle on the road in the 300 block of Eight Mile Road near Riverton. The initial report was regarding a "cow and sheep on the road."

Ruth Fabrizius, 78, of Riverton, was arrested at about 12:50 p.m. Sunday on Paradise Valley Road near Riverton for driving while under the influence.

A weapon offense was reported at about 5:20 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Baldwin Creek Road near Lander. The initial report was regarding a "male subject shooting a firearm on private property." Officials said the parties involved "left on request."

Brian Cousineau, 33, of Riverton, was arrested at about 6:05 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of North Federal Boulevard in Riverton on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear.

Alvin Ward, 62, of Riverton, was arrested at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday at the Fremotn County Sheriff's Office in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton for probation violation.

John Antelope, 37, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 7 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of East Monroe Avenue in Riverton for interference with a peace officer and on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear. The initial report was regarding a "male subject trespassing on property that is posted no trespassing."

A parking problem was reported at about 7:50 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Ramshorn Street in Dubois. The initial report was regarding a vehicle blocking a ramp. Officials said the vehicle was moved.

A traffic hazard was reported at about 8:45 a.m. Monday in the 10200 block of Wyoming Highway 789 near Riverton.

Annie Quiver Whiteplume, 27, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about noon Monday at the Fremont County Sheriff's Office in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton on a Fremont County warrant for revocation of probation.

A traffic hazard was reported at about 12:25 p.m. Monday on Dutch Ed Lane near Lander. The initial report was regarding "three goats on the road."

An animal problem was reported at about 12:30 p.m. Monday on Crow Avenue near Riverton. The initial report indicates a dog killed the reporting party's chickens.

Diapers and a toy box were reported stolen at about 12:40 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Apodaca Street near Riverton.

Theft was reported at about 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of North Cougar Drive near Pavillion.

Harassment was reported at about 2:45 p.m. Monday; officials said a juvenile was involved. The complainant was the Fremont County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded at about 7:15 p.m. Monday to a report of 30 head of cattle on the road on Chittim Road near Lander.

Deputies responded at about 9:15 p.m. Monday to a report that a "baggie of drugs" had been found I n a parking lot in the 100 block of West Second Street in Shoshoni.

Harassment was reported at about 9:35 p.m. Monday near Riverton. Officials said a juvenile was involved.

Claudia Duran, 44, of Riverton, was arrested at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of West Sunset Drive in Riverton on two Fremont County warrants for failure to appear and one Fremont County warrant for revocation of release.
