Fremont County Public Health Nurse manager Kathleen Laidlaw received a plaque and warm thanks from the Fremont County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday for her years of public service. Laidlaw retired from her post Friday after a long career in nursing.
Becky Parkins has been chosen to serve as the new Fremont County Public Health Nurse manager, bringing 26 years of nursing experience to the post.
Parkins completes her master's degree in nursing this winter, and has worked in public health for seven years.
"I think she'll be a great fit for our county," said Laidlaw.
Commissioner Clarence Thomas presented the plaque to Laidlaw.
