Bridge program gives students a head start at CWC

Jul 12, 2013 - From staff reports

Central Wyoming College's free Summer Bridge Boot Camp scheduled for Aug. 5-16 will provide incoming students with academic skills to be successful in college.

The program is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for developmental courses at CWC, providing students who need a brush up in math or English an intensive, accelerated program before the fall semester begins.

Through a University of Wyoming challenge grant, students may enroll at no cost. Tuition, books and fees are covered and lunch also is provided at no charge. Successful students also are provided free tuition and a stipend to enroll in the freshman seminar course offered during New Student Orientation from Aug. 28-30.

To register, call academic advisers Jason Harris at 855-2270 or Lisa Cunningham at 855-2223.
