Jul 2, 2013 - From staff reportsFederal officials say the suspect in the June 9 death of Dwight Spoonhunter Sr., 28, of Arapahoe, is currently in the custody of tribal officials.
The person is being held on charges unrelated to the possible homicide, officials said. No one else is being sought in connection with Spoonhunter's death.
Once the suspect's tribal charges are addressed, federal officials said they will proceed with their arrest and related court proceedings.
Emergency medical personnel responded at about 7:40 a.m. Sunday, June 9, to reports of a stabbing on the Wind River Indian Reservation. Spoonhunter reportedly had been stabbed multiple times; he was transported to Riverton Memorial Hospital, where he died.
