Bad behavior by coach is not to be congratulated

The letter to the editor from the Evanston High School basketball parent defending the boys basketball coach was ridiculous.

We enjoy going to basketball games, and we have watched this coach "in action" several times. His behavior often is rude and abusive, which is not the kind of behavior that should be encouraged or congratulated in youth sports, no matter how good the team is.
