May 10, 2013 - By Katie Roenigk, Staff WriterCounty fire officials said a Wednesday evening storage trailer fire in Fort Washakie was started by a child playing with a lighter.
No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported at about 7 p.m. Wednesday along U.S. Highway 287 in Fort Washakie. Officials said an older trailer being used for storage was destroyed in the fire, which reportedly started in one of the structure's back rooms.
"(We) got a pretty quick knock down on it," county fire chief Craig Haslam said Thursday. "They were able to save some of the possessions and stuff in (the trailer)."
He said crews were on scene for a couple of hours.
