Annette Schur, of Riverton, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 75 years old.
Per her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Davis Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Hill will officiate.
Annette Lucille Schur was born March 31, 1938, in Colfax, Wash., the daughter of Clark Fuller Martin and Belva W. (Swift) Martin. She attended two years of nursing at Spokane Community College.
She was of the Christian faith.
She lived in the Spokane, Wash., area until 18 years ago when she moved to Riverton.
While in Spokane, she worked as a welder for Apollo Boat and as a nurse and caregiver. After coming to Riverton she worked at Pro Tec and for the last few years as a caregiver.
She also volunteered at Amedisys Hospice and Habitat for Humanity.
Her family said she enjoyed astronomy, rock hunting, hiking, beadwork and crafts.
She is survived by her companion of 20 years, Clyde "Andy" Andrew of Riverton; son Gene Schur Jr. and his wife Blossom of Dryden, Wash.; daughters Laura Desmul and her husband Bill of Camano Island, Wash., Micki Firestone of Spokane, Wash., and Edie Hawotte of Spokane, Wash.; sisters Bea West and Helen Vincent and her husband David, both of Spokane, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Belva Martin, and one sister, Laura Martin.
Memorial may be made to Amedisys Hospice or Habitat for Humanity in care of Davis Funeral Home.
