Apr 9, 2013 - StaffMary Fabrizius, 89, of Riverton, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Wind River Health Care. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Davis Funeral Home with Father Demetrio Penascoza officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will precede the service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Mary Applehans was born Jan. 3, 1924, in Riverton, the daughter of John Sr. and Monica (Rolheiser) Applehans. She went to Riverton schools and lived in Riverton all her life.
She married Elmer A. Fabrizius on Dec. 9, 1944, in Lander. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1998.
Mrs. Fabrizius was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She enjoyed growing a large garden every year and sharing her vegetables with family and neighbors. She also enjoyed having family dinners with her brothers and sisters. Her family said she loved taking care of pets of all kinds.
She is survived by her son, Jim, of Riverton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Fabrizius; sisters Annie Moran and Catherine Bessey; and brothers Joe Appelhance, George Applehans, Felix Applehans and John Applehans.
Memorials may be made to the Paws for Life Animal Center in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main St., Riverton, WY 82501.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
