Crystal Johnson died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City surrounded by family. She was 43 years old.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander.
Crystal Johnson was born and raised in Lander where she attended school. She married Faron Johnson in October 1988, and they had two daughters together, Brittany and Alexa.
Her family said she was dedicated in spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish, camp, hunt and boat. She liked sports and was first to defend and cheer on her favorite team, the Denver Broncos. She played volleyball and softball for many years. She was always quick to make a friend and made people feel welcome wherever she met them. She had the gift of gab and easily filled the time on answering machines.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brittany Dailey and her husband Mike and Alexa Johnson; grandsons Brayden and Silas; sister Emi Hockersmith; mother Pauline Davis; grandparents Harold and Leona Davis; aunt JoLynn Davis; companion Shannon Gothard; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved uncle, Dave Davis, and great-grandparents Josephine Calhoun, Louis Chavez, Jenny Davis and Robert Davis.
