Mar 22, 2013 - StaffSusan A. (Musfelt) Luers died Friday, March 8, 2013, at her mother-in-law's home in Riverton. She was 60 years old.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jackson.
Susan Ann Musfelt was born March 23, 1952, in Powell and moved to Riverton when she was 5 years old. She grew up in Riverton and went to school there.
She married Jim Luers on March 22, 1969, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Riverton. They moved to Jackson in 1978.
Mrs. Luers devoted much of her time volunteering as a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her family said it was her most treasured work. She also worked at numerous places during her lifetime, including Foxy Lady and the Bank of Jackson Hole.
Her family said she enjoyed shopping, finding a good deal, and going to thrift stores and yard sales. She loved to ride horses and go four-wheeling with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; mother Gertrude Musfelt; brother D. Musfelt; nephew Jason and his wife Elisabeth; great-niece and great-nephew, all of Arizona; brother-in-law Don Luers and his wife Sandy; mother-in-law Florence Luers of Riverton; sister-in-law Vicki Laymon and her husband Bruce of Loveland, Colo.; aunt Mary Cisneros; and cousins Blanch Arleen and Nick of Casper.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Musfelt; brothers Dick and J.; and sister Margie Lahoe.
