Meth project art contest deadline extended

The Wyoming Meth Project has extended the registration deadline for the "Take a Stand Against Meth" statewide art contest from March 15 to April 1.

With $18,000 in total prize money, the contest offers middle and high school students an opportunity to be recognized for their artistic ability. It also encourages them to learn more about the dangers of meth and to share that information with their friends, family and members of the community.

Contestants must register online by 5 p.m. Monday April 1, at: MethProject.org/WyomingArtContest.

All entries must be posted by 5 p.m. Friday, April 12.

To be eligible, contestants must create an original piece of art in any style or medium, and use as inspiration one of the 350-plus pieces of content from MethProject.org , the Meth Project's website for teens. Contestants can use any of the multi-media content available on the site - videos, image galleries or even personal stories from users. The winners will be announced in Casper on April 26.The first-place prize is $6,000 second, $3,000, with other awards offered.
