Mar 14, 2013 - StaffThe newest member of the Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees has announced plans to resign due to a change in employment.
Greg Ashdown was appointed to the board last fall after Marissa Root stepped down to move to Sheridan. On Tuesday FCSD25 superintendent Terry Snyder said Ashdown also is moving as a result of employment.
"He's not establishing his resignation time for the board, (but) sometime between now and June (we'll) need to replace him," Snyder said during the Tuesday board meeting. "He'd like to continue to contribute as long as he can."
Ashdown was not present at Tuesday's meeting.
His appointment was the result of his second attempt to join the board -- Ashdown also had applied to the position now held by Trustee Lynette Jeffres, who was appointed in July 2012 to replace former trustee Bill Russell. Russell resigned after announcing plans to move to Casper.
