Mar 3, 2013 - StaffMary Yellowplume, of Riverton, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 31 years old.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at St. Stephen's Eagle Hall. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Father Eckley Macklin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery.
Mary Theresa Dewey was born March 13, 1981, in Riverton, the daughter of George Dewey and Lavina (Antelope) Bell.
She spent her life in Wyoming. She attended St. Stephen's Indian High School, and she was a stay-at-home mother.
Her family said she enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Lavina Bell; sons Daniel J.N. Gardner and Elijah Oldman; daughter Illeakie Oldman; adopted daughters Adrienne Dewey and Bethany Sankey; brothers Leon Birdshead, Jess Birdshead, Sterling Howell, Charlie Howell, Milton Trosper Jr., George Brown, Johnny Antelope and Terrance Antelope; and sisters Flora Dewey, Susanna Warren, Regina Dewey, Aurilda Standing Elk and Elenore Brown.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Dewey, and Angela (Warren) Dewey, John C. Dewey, Dean Dewey, Georgianne Shamblen, Eileen Moss, Joe Moss, Mary Antelope and Orlando Antelope.
