Higher postal price doesn't go well with service cutback

Feb 27, 2013 Kay Carlisle, Riverton

I, for one, will not miss Saturday mail delivery at my house all that much. I can wait until Monday. But what I don't like is that they cut services and still raise the price anyway. They say the post office isn't really the government anymore, but it sure acts like it.

How long will it be before they cut back another day of the week and raise the price of a stamp or a package again? Not very long, I will bet you.

My neighbor said we have been getting a sweet deal on mailing letters, cards, packages, etc. for a hundred years and now it is time to make up for it for charging more. OK, but with lower service also? What is that "making up" for?
