Jan 20, 2013 - StaffEileen Wamsley, formerly of Lander, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, surrounded by family. She was 94.
Mrs. Wamsley was born in London and was the youngest of five children.
She met Leonard Wamsley, an American soldier, while he was serving during the war. They married, and after the war, they moved to Colorado and later to Wyoming.
Mrs. Wamsley lived in Lander for almost 50 years before moving to Utah to live with her daughter.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mariann Fillis; granddaughters Shanna Day and Tanya Phoenix and her husband Aaron; and grandson Travys Fillis.
