Jan 9, 2013 - StaffDick Bowman, of Lander, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. He was 65 years old.
No traditional services will be held, but the family will gather in Midwest City, Okla., to honor and celebrate his life.
Dick Bowman was born Dec. 9, 1947, in Zanesville, Ind.
He recently moved to Oklahoma with his wife, Evelyn Bowman, and their cherished pets, Baby, Scooter, Ralphie and Roscoe.
His family said he was a lifelong musician who loved to share his gift with his friends and family. He taught many people how to play guitar and was a member of the Wyoming-based band, "Coupe De Ville."
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bowman of Oklahoma; mother and stepfather Gene and Lillian McCartney of Indiana; sister Linda Bowman Mauller of Indiana; nephews Ethan and Aaron Mauller; brother Mike Bowman of Arizona; three stepdaughters, Gabrielle, Michelle and Jennifer; and five grandsons and three granddaughters who lovingly called him "Grampy."
He was preceded in death by his father, Jewel Bowman.
