Vietnam vet earns honorary diploma

Vietnam War veteran Michael R. Mahaffey earned his honorary high school diploma Nov. 13 during a Fremont County School District 25 board meeting. Lori McGee presented Mahaffey with his diploma through the Wyoming Veterans Commission Operation Recognition Program, which rewards people who left high school to serve in the military. Gov. Matt Mead sent the man a letter of congratulations, thanking Mahaffey for his service in the Navy.
