Nominations still being accepted for BLM resource advisory council

Nov 11, 2012 - From staff reports

The Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming is still accepting nominations for four open positions on its Wyoming Resource Advisory Council, which will advise the BLM on public land issues. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, Nov. 19.

Individuals may nominate themselves or others to serve on an advisory council. Nominees, who must be residents of Wyoming, will be judged on the basis of their training, education and knowledge of the council's geographic area. Nominees should also demonstrate a commitment to consensus building and collaborative decision making. All nominations must be accompanied by letters of reference from any represented interests or organizations; a completed background information nomination form; and any other information that speaks to the nominee's qualifications.

The nominations should be sent to Cindy Wertz, Bureau of Land Management, Wyoming State Office, 5353 Yellowstone, P.O. Box 1828, Cheyenne, WY 82003; or faxed to 775-6003, or e-mail cwertz@blm.gov.
