Nov 7, 2012 - StaffCarol J. Foster, of Lander, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. She was 67 years old.
A rosary will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander, and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander.
Carol J. Foster was born Nov. 22, 1944, in Worland, the daughter of Rudy and Evelyn Kowlok. She grew up in Thermopolis with her six brothers and sisters. She was a 1963 graduate of Hot Springs County High School and received her nursing degree from Casper College.
She worked for the Wyoming State Life Resource Center as a program nurse for 24 years and retired in 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Foster-Hood; son-in-law Tom Hood; son Skye Foster; daughter-in-law Michelle Foster; three grandchildren, Brian and Sevanah Foster and Kayleigh Hood; six siblings, Ken Kowlok, Gerry Kowlok, Miriam (Sam) Witters, Dolores (Phil) Crouch, Judy (Bill) Birchfield and Rudy (Linda) Kowlok; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Rudy Kowlok; mother Evelyn Kowlok; and sister-in-law Annette Kowlok.
