Julia Mae 'Judy' Becnel Andre

Julia Mae "Judy" Becnel Andre, of Riverton, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 79 years old.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church with Father Demetrio Penascoza officiating. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church.
Julia Mae Becnel was born July 4, 1933, the daughter of James John Becnel Jr. and Anna Marie (Barrett) Becnel, in Custer, S.D. She grew up and graduated high school in Custer, S.D.
She married Carl L. Andre on Aug. 7, 1953, in Custer, S.D. After their marriage, the couple moved to Hot Springs, S.D. She was a secretary for the VA Hospital in Hot Springs, S.D., until moving to Riverton in 1959.
While raising her five children, she work as a secretary for the Wyoming High School Activities Association until it moved to Casper. She then worked for the Bureau of Land Management until her retirement.
Her family said she enjoyed reading news magazines, fiction and biographies, discussing political issues, listening to music, playing the piano and dancing. Her true joy was her family, always caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a Senior Companion and involved with RCCW.
She is survived by her daughters, Jayne Andre Linck and her husband Grant, and JoAnne Andre Flanagan and her husband Lars; sons Jin Andre, John Andre and Jeff Andre and his wife Jenelle; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and James Becnel, and her husband, Carl L. Andre.
Memorials may be made to St. Margaret's School in care of Davis Funeral Home.
