Students to sell handmade bowls

Central Wyoming College ceramics students are selling homemade chili in handmade bowls at a Chili Bowl Sale 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Gallery.

Students have crafted multiple ceramic bowls to serve up the chili and are charging patrons $8 for both, ceramics instructor Danny Brown said. In addition to the bowls, there will be a silent auction of ceramic pieces made by students from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Unsold bowls will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, for $7 each.

All the proceeds go directly to the CWC ceramics studio to fund new materials, visiting artists, travel and workshops, Brown said.

RHS choirs to perform Oct. 23

The Riverton High School fall vocal concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre at Central Wyoming College, Riverton. Singers will perform a variety of choral arrangements in the mixed, concert and jazz choirs. Admission is free, and the public is welcome to attend.

CWC to host Trail of Terror

With October being the season of horrors and hobgoblins, Central Wyoming College invites those who dare to walk the Halloween Trail of Terror on Oct. 26 and Oct. 27.

Sponsored by the CWC theater department and student activities, guided tours of outdoor campus haunts are provided by theater students Rustin Burr and Zedikiah Mills from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on both evenings.

The tours, which last about 10 minutes, are free though donations will be accepted and forwarded to the Tough Enough Cancer Fund in honor of October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To take the frightful journey, meet the guides in the northwest corner of the CWC arts center parking lot.

CWC theater students are creating horrific hideaways and thrills for all ages, and student activities provide refreshments.
