Event will provide an opportunity for members of the public to make an informed choice when they vote Nov. 6.
The Central Wyoming College forensics team and student senate are sponsoring a forum for candidates running for the CWC board Thursday, Oct. 25.
Forensics team members will question the candidates running on the November ballot at the forum, scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Little Theater, located in the Student Center.
The forum provides an opportunity for the public to make an informed choice as four trustees will be elected, said associate vice president for student services Coralina Daly.
The public may submit questions to the forensics team in advance of the Thursday forum, said director of forensics Josh House, who can be contacted at 855-2257 or by e-mail at email@example.com. He requests questions be submitted by Oct. 23.
The candidates represent four different subdistricts in the county, though all Fremont County voters may cast ballots in each area.
Running in the Wind River Reservation subdistrict are David "Grundy Snyder and Carlton Underwood, both of Fort Washakie.
Current reservation subdistrict representative Caroline Mills is not seeking re-election.
Riverton-Shoshoni subdistrict incumbent Judy Pedersen of Riverton is being challenged by Tim Payne, Nicole Schoening, and Chris Smolik, all of Riverton.
Trustee Frank A. Welty III of the Dubois-Crowheart subdistrict is opposed by candidates Heather Christensen of Midvale and Katherine "Kari" Griebel of Kinnear.
Lander-Jeffrey City subdistrict incumbent Colton Crane is running unopposed.
