Prudential Spirit of Community Awards looking for star volunteersSep 7, 2012 - From staff reports The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program has started its search for Wyoming's top youth volunteers of 2013. Now through Nov. 6, Wyoming students in grades 5-12 who have volunteered in the past 12 months are invited to apply for 2013 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards by visiting http://spirit.prudential.com and www.nassp.org/spirit. Wyoming's top youth volunteers of 2012 were Rebel Rauterkus, 17, of Freedom, and Megan Kenney, 13, of Newcastle. Rauterkus and Kenney received $1,000 awards, engraved medallions and trips to Washington, D.C. The awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, are granted annually to recognize middle and high school students for helping the less fortunate, promoting health and safety, protecting the environment or volunteering in other ways. |
