Tribute to 'Slick' was appreciated, touchingSep 6, 2012 Victoria East, Riverton
I thank you for the tribute editorial for M.J. Schlichemmayer. The "eulogy" in the paper was touching, and I liked his last column. Many years ago he helped me with some business announcements in the basement of the old Ranger print shop (they turned out just right).
I was very surprised years later to see when he started writing a column in the Ranger. It just never occurred to me that he would have done this. He was so quiet and all-business when I was a printing customer.
I remember earlier this year the very nice tributes also to Carolyn Tyler, and I can recall reading about other newspaper staff members in past years. I think it is nice that you remember your important employees to the community when they depart, regardless of why.
