Aug 26, 2012 - StaffLenna Jeanette Adams James, of Fremont County, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. She was 68 years old.
She was born Feb. 6, 1944, to Arrel "Red" Adams and Lenna Shaw Adams in Aurora, Utah.
She graduated high school in Orem, Utah, in 1962 as her parents were moving to Lander to work in the U.S. Steel Mill at South Pass. She then completed beauty school and employed herself as a hair stylist.
She later changed occupations to work at the Fremont County Sheriff's Office where she continued to work until her retirement 16 years later.
Her family said she enjoyed sewing and other crafts and always kept herself busy while helping to raise her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Lenna Shaw Adams; children Lisa James and Michael James of Green River; siblings A.J. Adams of Lander and Deann Haines of Idaho; and grandchildren Rochelle, Chase and Cedar.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arrel "Red" Adams.
