Treasurer 'hijacks' government

Jul 16, 2017 - Christopher Verdici, Riverton

I do not like the way the county treasurer is trying to hijack the government with closing the Riverton office, which means the clerk's office has to close, too.

The lines at the county offices in Lander are long enough already. Now when you add in not having the Riverton office, that situation is going to get worse. I will predict that.

After they had the argument about the budget, the treasurer told the commissioners he was going to resign. I wish they had said "resignation accepted" and held him to it if there was some way to.

If he is going to pull stuff like this, I hope someone runs against him next year and wins.
