Jul 11, 2017 - From staff reportsFormer Riverton resident Timothy Wayne Simpson died June 25, 2017, at his residence in Thermopolis. He was 57.
Born Oct. 1, 1959, in Hartford, Wisconsin, he was one of four children of Thomas and Helen (Malchow) Simpson.
The family moved to Riverton in 1974 where he attended school.
For most of his life Mr. Simpson was employed in the oil fields working for Caza Drilling, Tower Drilling and Nabor's Drilling.
In May 1980 he married Naida Beydler in Riverton.
They moved to Loveland, Colorado, in 1982. The couple later divorced.
Moving from Loveland in 2015, he came to Thermopolis. He enjoyed motorcycling and hunting and had a passion for fishing.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his children Mike Dawes of Fort Collins, Colorado, T.J. Simpson of Loveland, Colorado, and Tori Isaacs of Windsor, Colorado; siblings Boyd Simpson of Morrison, Colorado, and Dennis Simpson of Riverton; grandchildren Taylor and Skylee Simpson, Corben Isaacs and Haley Bonde, and Emily, Addison and Mike Dawes; uncle, LeRoy Malchow of Thermopolis; extended family in Wisconsin; and former wife, Naida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Helen, and sister, Kimberly.
