I attended to youth dance recital on June 9 and was astounded by the length of the program, especially taking into consideration that there are 3- and 4-year-olds performing.
The recital was to start at 6 p.m. (it started at 6:15) and lasted until almost 9:30 p.m.
I was not very happy that more than a third of the three-plus-hour program consisted of "adult" dances. I went to see the young kids dance, not the instructors.
If the instructors want to perform, perhaps the first portion of the program should be the young kids, and the second portion should be the adults.
That way, the parents, grand[arents and great-grandparents, as well as the young kids (i.e. 3- to 7-year-olds) can leave at a reasonable hour.
I did enjoy watching the young kids dance.
