Riverton students earn college honors

Jun 16, 2017 - From staff reports

Hally Milleson of Riverton is one of 301 Chadron State College named to the spring 2017 President's List. Milleson earned the honor by earning a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester to qualify.

While graduating from Chadron State with a bachelor of arts in theater, Molly Thornton of Riverton was one of 358 students named to the Chadron State College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester.

The Dean's List requires a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester to qualify.

Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska.

Nearly 3,000 undergraduate, graduate and online students currently attend Chadron State and its curriculum has grown to offer programs and courses in more than 50 majors and endorsements and eight master's degree programs.

Kelsie Wells, also from Riverton, also made the Dean's Honor Roll at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington.

To qualify for the Dean's Honor Roll, students must also be full time and achieve a grade point average of 3.5, but less than 4.0.
