Swim lessons at RAC to begin

Spring cleaning is complete and the Riverton Aquatic Center, located on the campus of Riverton High School, has announced its summer schedules of classes and recreational swimming.

Registration continues through Friday for the first session of swim lessons which are scheduled from June 12-29. Registration lasts from June 26- July 9 for the second session of swim lessons which begin July 10. Patrons can register for the third session of swim lessons from July 24-Aug. 4. The third session of swim lessons begin Aug. 17.

Morning swim lessons will be held Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - noon and evening swim lessons are scheduled from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The RAC is open Monday - Friday from 5:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. for public lap swimming and open swims are scheduled Monday - Friday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Weekend open swim hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The large inflatable will be available on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Various fees are charged to use the RAC, and more information is available at the RAC, located at 2001 W Sunset Drive, or by calling 856-4230.

The RAC will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day.
