Blake Don Armajo Sr.

Blake Don Armajo Sr. passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.He was 52 years old.

He was born Feb. 7, 1965, in Lander, the son of the late Morton and Genevieve Armajo

He was a lifelong resident of the Wind River Indian Reservation.Heattended schools at Mill Creek and Wyoming Indian High School. He was a heavy equipment operator and loved his job.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, roping, watching basketball and pow wows. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by daughters Kaylei Dollard, Amber and Alyssa Noseep and McKenna Armajo; sons Keith, Greg and Blake Armajo Jr. and Jared Noseep; brothers Eli Armajo Jr. and Alfred Armajo Jr.; adopted brother, Franklin "Boss" Whiteclay; grandchildren Keryssa Noseep and Jayce and Armajo Serenity; aunts Rhoda Armajo and Sandy McGill; uncles Ernie McGill and Alfred Armajo Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and the families of Armajo, Whiteplume, McGill, Shoyo and Roanhorse.

He was preceded in death by sisters Cheryl Armajo Redhouse and Roberta Armajo Little Nest; brother, Clarence Armajo Sr.; grandparents Clarence and Evelyn McGill and Edith and Adolph Armajo; aunts Alta and Kathy McGill and Rita Bowlins; and uncles Gary and Maynard McGill.

An evening service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Blue Sky Hall, with a wake to follow at Blue Sky Hall. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Blue Sky Hall, with Theron Wells officiating. Interment will be in the Yellow Calf Cemetery at Ethete. Services are provided by Wind Dancer Funeral Home.
