'Heartening to see' the contributing efforts of young CWC Ambassadors

May 26, 2017 - Nance Shelsta, Riverton

Central Wyoming College offers a scholarship program to outstanding students who exhibit a commitment to education, leadership, service and community involvement.

Each year the Ambassadors decide on a recipient and hold fundraising events to donate to their designated charity.

This year the Ambassadors selected Central Wyoming Children's Center for Art, Technology & Science (CATS) to support.

They held four fund raising events and recently presented the CATS Board with a check for $1,781.37.

The students were excited and understandably proud of their accomplishments. More importantly they worked together to enrich our community by giving of their time, energy and talents.

In this time of polarization at the national level, it is heartening to see these exceptional young people in our midst. Thanks to all of the Ambassadors and the college faculty and staff who support them.
