Why not expand 1 percent tax use if voters want to?

May 23, 2017 - Graig Inger, Riverton

I disagree with the criticism by Ron Warpness of the editorial that simply suggested the "1 percent tax" could be used for more things.

I think it could be a good idea if it was done right. Obviously it would need to be done only after voters approve, but if that happened, why not? R00;That's how the 1 percent came into existence in the first place.

It doesn't strike me as "trying to ruin it" by making some suggestions about how to move forward. The tax didn't exist before voters approved it, and they (we) could expand on it if we wanted to. As the editorial said, times are tough and the 1 percent us helping ourselves.
