Local graduations begin Friday

High school graduation season is in full swing in Fremont County, with 10 out of the 11 high schools in the county holding commencement exercises over the next two weeks.

Pathfinder High School in Lander will be the first to confer diplomas. The ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the school gym.

Fort Washakie High School will hold commencement exercises at 10 a.m. Saturday in the high school gym. There are seven prospective graduates.

Four schools will hold graduation ceremonies on Sunday.

Lander Valley High School's commencement is at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse. Eighty-nine seniors and three foreign exchange students will be honored.

Eleven Dubois High School seniors will march at 2 p.m. Sunday in the school gym.

Shoshoni High School will graduate its 30 seniors at 2 p.m. in the school gym.

Wyoming Indian High School will hold commencement exercises for 25 seniors at 2 p.m. in the high school gym.

Next week, Arapaho Charter High School will honor its two graduates at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the ACHS multi-purpose room.

The final three ceremonies in the county will be held on Sunday, May 28.

Riverton High School will graduate 146 seniors at noon that day in the RHS gym.

St. Stephens Indian High School will also hold commencement at noon Sunday, May 28, in the high school gym for 11 grads.

Wind River High School's will be the last ceremony of the year at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 28, in the high school gym. Fifteen seniors will receive diplomas from WRHS.

Frontier Academy in Riverton holds ceremonies throughout the year as each student completes requirements to graduate. Twelve students will receive diplomas this year.
