Apr 20, 2017 - From staff reportsCynthia Cason passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, in Kalispell, Montana. She was 57 years old.
She was born April 23, 1959, in Lander, the daughter of the late Robert Hall and Florence Wanstall Hall.
She attended school at Mill Creek. She was a homemaker and professional cook living most of her life in Anchorage, Alaska. She loved being around her family and grandson.
She is survived by companion, Phillip Johnston of Alaska; daughter, Genevieve (Dennis) Valimont of Alaska; son, Samuel Cason of Alaska; sisters Robie Lee Gilman, Maxine Joyce Matson, Loretta Sharon Bell, Connie Vigil, Rae Bell, Marilyn Eagle, Clarinda Calling Thunder, Marvene and Janell Thunder, Carolyn Dodge, Cheryl ( Myron) Littlebird, Ione (Jess) Jones and Kirsten Martel; brothers Robert Blueskies Hall, Buddy Black Coal, Wesley (Robyn) Martel, Frank (Bernelle) Martel, Gordon Wanstall and Lydell Thunder; aunt, Verna Thunder; grandson, Dakota Vailmont; and the families of Friday, Large, Thunder, Goggles, Wanstall, Eagle, Sage and Armour.
She was preceded in death by Melecia Murray and Rena and Glenda Wanstall; grandparents Richard and Ione Wanstall and Bill and Cleon Thunder; aunts Loretta Martel, Viola Buckman, Gracie Schamp and Clara Thunder; and uncles Frank Martel Sr. and William Thunder Sr.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at The Church Of The Morning Star at Ethete. Interment will be in the Friday Cemetery. Services are provided by Wind Dancer Funeral Home.
