College theater showcase features 6 original scripts

Ten different student directors are involved in creating the performances.

The Central Wyoming College theater department will present Showcase 2017 this week.

For the 14th year, CWC theater students will present an assortment of one-act plays, comic sketches, musical performances and dance pieces performed in-the-round for the showcase.

This year, 10 student directors are presenting their work, including six original scripts.

Each short piece is directed and designed by students.

Performances are held in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center dance studio. Admission is free but seating is limited.

One set of performances will be presentedat 7 p.m. Thursday andSaturday. A second set of performances will be presentedat 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
