Apr 9, 2017 From staff reports

The Central Wyoming College Foundation last month held the Rustler 400, an annual event that includes buffet, silent auction and a drawing for a multitude of prizes.

Becky Ruthenbeck, executive director of the CWC Foundation said 250 people came to the event, which sold 329 tickets and had 18 people leave with cash prizes."

In total, $40,422 was raised to benefit athletic scholarships at CWC.

"This is about a $4,000 increase from last year, so the event is progressively getting bigger and raising more money, " Ruthenbeck said. "This is going to help bring some great athletes to our community."

Taking home the grand prize of $10,000 was Kathleen Newman.
