Apr 2, 2017 - From staff and wire reports

Riverton Mayor Lars Baker signed a proclamation Tuesday announcing that April 4 would be Recognition Day for National Service. He invited Mary C. Rosenberg to the signing. She was appointed to the Wyoming Commission on National and Community Service beginning in 2006.

Rosenberg was joined by Kelly Shaffer, Senior Companion Pro-gram coordinator with Wyoming Senior Citizens Inc.; Billie Jo Santee, foster grandparent program manager with the senior citizens organization; and Lisa Johnson of the Wyoming Corporation for National and Community Service.

Baker recognized the efforts of AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and other volunteer groups for their work serving communities, educating others and providing services.
