Mar 19, 2017 - From wire reportsIn a February memo to the Central Wyoming College Board of Trustees, the school's academic affairs vice president, Kathy Wells, wrote about a new professional development leadership class set to begin next fall.
Wells said the desire for expanded professional development opportunities has been "a consistent request across all employee groups" at CWC. To address the need, the workforce department has started designing the series of leadership courses to be offered beginning fall 2017.
Open to all CWC employees and community members, the initial course will explore various leadership qualities and foundational leadership tools, and will provide an environment for practical application of these tools in a variety of settings.
Subsequent courses will build on the foundational knowledge and skills to include complex leadership theories.
