Juan Eder passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper due to a sudden illness. He was 48 years old.

He was born Sept. 6, 1968, in Poplar, Montana, the son of the late Mark Eder Jr. and Delores Scott.

He attended Poplar Montana schools and Central Wyoming College. He enjoyed watching movies, basketball games, camping, playing darts and pool. He worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Forestry as a helitack manager, engines crew member and dispatcher for 15 years.

He is survived by wife for 28 years, Valerie Boyd; children Dustin and Latrell Eder and Cole Boyd of Riverton; grandaughter, Aliiyah Boyd of Riverton; brothers Kenneth, Kevin and Robert Eder, Reginald Scott and Timothy Reddoor Jr., all of Poplar, Montana; sisters Marcella Greybull and Cheryl Two Hearts of Poplar, Montana; mother in-law, Fern Felter of Lander; brothers-in-law George Goggles of Riverton and Angelo Boyd of Poplar, Montana; sisters-in-law Evie Anderson of Arapahoe and Johanne Boyd of Lander; father in-law, Jonathan Boyd Sr.; and his Felter family.

He was preceded in death by mother, Dolores Scott and father, Mark Eder Jr.; brother, Mark Eder III; sister, Shannon Eder; grandparents Mark Eder Sr. and Fanny Eder and Ray Scott Sr. and Ruth Yellow Hawk; brother in-law, Jonathan Boyd Jr.; and nieces Melinda Escamilla, April Scott, Toni and DeAnne Eder and Delora White Tail.

An evening service and wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Blue Sky Hall. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Blue Sky Hall, with Rawlin Friday officiating. Interment will be in the Mission Cemetery at Ethete. Services are provided by Wind Dancer Funeral Home.
