Mar 2, 2017 - From staff reportsSandra Lee Hovander died Feb. 20, 2017, at her home in Riverton. She was 71 years old.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Davis Funeral Home, with Bishop Spencer Smith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Cremation has taken place.
She was born Sept. 18, 1945, in Great Falls, Montana, daughter of Leo and Aline (Curtis) Dess.
On Oct. 22, 1961, she married Dale Wesley Hovander in Riverton. After he was discharged from the United States Air Force, the couple moved to California, where he fueled airplanes at the airport.
The couple moved back to Riverton after six years in California to help with his family's tire shop business. They then owned S & D Enterprises and Fairwinds, Co.
She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done, reading, and tending to her yard and garden. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to work on her genealogy.She was very interested in learning about her family history.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Hovander, on Aug. 16, 2015; and her grandmother who took care of her.
