Jul 18, 2012 - StaffDan R. Keele, 62, of Riverton, died Sunday, July 15, 2012.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, at the Church of Christ with Pastor Ed Murray officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery.
Dan Robert Keele was born March 5, 1950, in Los Angeles to Dallas Marian Keele and Gloria Eunice (Chidester) Keele.
He married Sherrie Withrow on June 12, 1971, in Elko, Nev. They raised three children together, and they lived in the Riverton area for the last 45 years.
Mr. Keele was a heavy equipment operator for construction. He worked for Brush and Sons and then for Circle Paving.
His family said he enjoyed the outdoors where he would fish, hunt and go four-wheeling. He also enjoyed working in the yard, doing woodwork and playing cards with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sherrie; sons Christopher and Joshua Keele; daughter Tina Rayburn and her husband Norman, their children, Matthew, Joylynn and Mark; brothers Ellis Keele, Larry (Dixie) Keele, Raymond (Sheryil) Keele and John (Tina) Keele; sisters Bonnie Isenhart, Mary Ann Hill and Susan Bruner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Gloria; and an infant brother, Charles Keele.
Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ in care of Davis Funeral Home.
