Pfc. Kierig finishes boot camp; headed for Camp Pendleton

Private First Class Jordan Robert Kierig, age 18, of Billings, Mont., graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Sept. 9.

Private First Class Kierig is the grandson of Mike and Maureen Linden of Riverton, the late Ron and Rulene Kierig of Riverton, and great-grandson of Patricia Miller of Kinnear.

He completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Sand Diego as one of the 518 recruits in Training Platoon 3226. While in recruit training, Pfc. Kierig achieved "expert" certification in marksmanship. Following 24 days leave, during which he is assisting with recruiting, he will report to Camp Pendleton, Calif.

He is the son of Carlie Evans of Billings, Mont., and Jarrid Kierig of Williston, N.D.
