Though most of the menu comes from the Middle Kingdom -- with about 100 entrees -- owner Andy Ha also has food from Vietnam, Thailand and Japan.
Ha has been working in kitchens since 1981 and has been a sushi chef for 16 years.
The Riverton restaurant, which opened in August, follows Green River and Rock Springs as the third Chopstix location Ha has open in Wyoming since 2011.
After he opened the first one in Rock Springs, Ha won the city's annual Chef's Challenge in both 2011 and 2012.
Ha said he had been considering opening a Riverton location for a while, and hopes there's now a strong market for his business.
"People want a new style -- something that's different," he said.
Ha said Chopstix stands out from other Asian restaurants in Riverton because of his unique sauces and relucance to use canned vegetables.
Ha said he also uses a variety of vegetables that aren't commonly used in other local restaurants.
Chopstix will also begin serving sushi in mid-September once Ha's staff is fully trained.
Ha said that if Chopstix is successful, he'd like the business to become a regular benefactor to Riverton city schools.
"If we make money in the town, I want to use that money in the town. I want to sleep soundly," he said.
