Riverton Library forgives fines for school supplies

The Fremont County Library System has completed its annual "School Supplies for Fines" promotion.

Library patrons were encouraged to bring in a school supply donation to have their late fees removed from their library records.

The Riverton Branch Library forgave more than $900 in late fees.The supplies have been donated to Fremont County School District 25.

"This program is a great way for our patrons to experience a win-win opportunity," said branch manager Gloria Brodle. They get their late fees removed, and they have the opportunity to help a child experience success at school."
