Dubois quilt show in August

Visitors to the 17th annual Dubois Quilt Festival at the Headwaters Arts & Conference Center on Aug. 10-12 will be able to view an abundance of quilters' art.

The show will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 10, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 12.

Last year's festival featured more than 140 quilt art pieces. In addition to the event's vendor mall, quilted items will be for sale in the Boutique Shoppe.

Admission is $2. Special exhibits include guild member displays of landscape quilts, funky sunflower quilt items, president's challenge quilts and hand-quilted art.

There will be a queen-sized quilt called "Shining Light" that will be raffled. Proceeds will benefit the High Country Senior Center Emergency Fund.

Raffle tickets are $2 each or six for $10. The drawing will be held at the show's closure on Aug. 12.
