Jun 30, 2012 - From staff reportsA barbecue hosted by the Crofts family as well as Fremont County Cattlemen and the Wyoming Stock Growers Association will be held July 9 at South Pass.
Activities start at noon and include a walking tour of South Pass and a complimentary barbecue picnic that evening. Anyone wanting to join the walking tour should bring a sack lunch and meet at noon at South Pass City. The tour will be begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.
After the tour guests are invited to the Crofts's family property on South Pass to discuss issues facing the agriculture industry. The barbecue and socializing will begin at 5 p.m.
Events and supervision for children will be from 3 to 5 p.m.
"It is important for ag families to get together often and discuss issues that affect us all," host and Fremont County rancher Rob Crofts said. "We especially want to encourage young families and those just making their way in ranching to join us."
"This is an opportunity for ag families to visit with friends and neighbors and enjoy beautiful South Pass," Jim Magagna, WSGA executive vice president, said.
