A son was born to Jessica Weaver and Ryan Creek, of Lander, at 11:19 a.m. June 17, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. He weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces.

Deaths

CAREY

Kenneth Dale Carey, 82, died Tuesday, June 5, at his home in Lander. A viewing was Sunday, June 10, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Douglas Cemetery.

COATS

Judy A. Coats, 67, of Globe, Ariz., who lived in the Lander and Jeffrey City area for some 20 years, died in her sleep Monday, May 28, at her son's home in Kingman, Ariz. A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Rose Bud Cemetery, South Grand Avenue, Glenwood Springs, Colo. Memorials in her name made to made to Kingman Regional Medical Center Hospice at 1790 Sycamore Ave., Suite No. 5, Kingman, AZ 86409-3619 or a charity of the donor's choice.

Eagle Spirit Dancers is at 7 p.m. at the Museum of the American West, 1445 Main St., Lander.

Hot Notes Cool Nights Concert is at 7 p.m. at Riverton City Park. Rain site is the Central Wyoming College Arts Center Gallery. Featured musicians are Tom Amend and Friends (jazz). 1838 Mountain Man Rendezvous Opening Ceremony is at the Rendezvous site on East Monroe Avenue, Riverton. The rendezvous is July 3 to July 7. For more information, visit www.1838rendezvous.com. Admission is free.

Children's Craft Day is at 10:30 a.m. at the Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park Ave.

Lander Valley High School Class of 1992 Reunion is at 6 p.m. at Gannett Grill, 126 Main Street, Lander. Hors d'oeuvres will be served, there will be a cash bar and a D.J. The class will have a float in the 4th of July Pioneer Days Parade; classmates will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Pamida parking lot. There will be a family picnic lunch at 12:30 p.m. at Dillon Park.

Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Thursday to Friday morning:

- Lionel Brown, 44, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Mary Addison, 49, of Arapahoe, was arrested for a warrant (contempt of court).

- Denise Piper 29, of Ethete, was arrested for a warrant (failure to appear).

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Thursday to Friday morning:

- Stephanie Whitman, 19, of Riverton, was arrested for three counts of burglary.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews responded to 15 calls and firefighters were dispatched eight times.

- At 3:06 p.m., on Thursday, the sheriff's office received a report about two children missing in the area of the LeClair Canal and Cooper Road.

Sheriff's Capt. Ryan Lee said about an hour into the search, the children were located in Riverton safe.
