Juanita Gail Hill, 61, died Tuesday, June 19, at her home in Rock Springs, following a battle with lung cancer. She was the daughter of Emma Jean Ross of Lander. Memorial services were Saturday, June 23, at the Mount of Olives Lutheran Church in Rock Springs.


Sandra R. "Sandy" Lloyd, 60, died Thursday, June 21, at her home in Casper. Memorial services are at 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander. Inurnment follows at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander. Rosary is at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. Memorials may be made to the Holy Rosary Youth Fund.


Dona Macon, of Riverton, died Thursday, June 21. Celebration of life is at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at the First Baptist Church in Riverton. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Gideon's International.


A memorial service gathering of friends for Dorothy "Sue" Nigh, 73, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the Green River Lakes in Pinedale. Food and drinks will be available at 1 p.m. Sunday. Ms. Nigh, 73, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at her home in Dubois.


Longtime Lander resident David J. Payne, 47, died Tuesday, June 19, at his home surrounded by friends and family after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis. Cremation has taken place and memorial services are at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. A celebration of life will follow in Sinks Canyon.


Daniel Schneider, a 16-year resident of Riverton, died Saturday, May 26, in Big Springs, Texas. Burial was beside a deceased son, Brian Joseph, on June 2 at Riverview Memorial Cemetery in Worland.


Nickerson J. Shakespeare, 67, of the Wind River Indian Reservation, died Sunday, June 24, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Blue Sky Hall at Ethete. Interment will be in the Shakespeare Family Cemetery at Ethete. An evening service is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Blue Sky Hall with a wake to follow at the Jimmy Shakespeare residence, No. 765 Ethete Road.

In Riverton police reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- Leland Teran, 59, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

- Paul Bell, 50, of Riverton, was arrested for a warrant (failure to appear).

- Nelson Duran, 32, of Riverton, was arrested for a warrant (failure to appear).

- Carlene Headley, 52, of Riverton, was arrested for a warrant (failure to appear).

- Donald Smith, 48, of Riverton, was arrested for a warrant (failure to appear).

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- Kyle Chivers, 22, of Riverton, was arrested for probation revocation.

- During the same time period, firefighters were dispatched eight times and ambulance crews responded to 10 calls for service.
